The people behind BranchWise
Twenty years of building software teams, branch offices and subsidiaries in Poland.
20 Years of Building Software Teams and Partnerships
We started BranchWise after two decades of building and running engineering teams in Poland — for startups, for mid-size companies and for global organisations.
Now we do the same work for companies that want their own team here instead of a vendor. Learn more about our Knowledge Transfer process to see how the handover works.
We know the whole software lifecycle: product discovery, development and delivery, then support, maintenance and everything that comes after launch.
We also believe people work better when they see each other. We value personal contact with clients and with the team, and we think working in one place (or hybrid) keeps everyone engaged.
Paweł spent his career on the engineering side: developer at Ericpol, QA engineer and then R&D team manager at Fujitsu — building teams in Łódź that supported projects in Germany, Finland and the UK — and R&D department manager at Ericsson, where he led three cross-functional engineering teams. Since 2019 he has helped run Payair’s Polish site, and as Head of Product he ships payment products certified by Mastercard and Visa, including the contactless engine behind Swish’s tap-to-pay in Sweden. MSc in Telecommunications & Computer Science, Technical University of Lodz.
Piotr has done exactly what BranchWise does for clients: in 2019 he set up Payair’s Polish subsidiary from scratch — company registration, finances, office and hiring — and has run it ever since, from budgets and recruitment to knowledge transfer between the Polish and Swedish teams. Before Payair he established and led a 40-person cloud Center of Excellence at Fujitsu in partnership with Fujitsu Japan, managed a 20-engineer division at Ericpol, and started out writing Java, with earlier stops at Samsung R&D and a broadcast-video company in the UK.
Our core competencies
Office Setup & Recruitment
Company registration, security and compliance, office space, and hiring the team. We do the parts that are hard to run from abroad — the legal setup and the registered address and office included.
Software Delivery
Sprints, releases, code quality and deadlines that hold — run by people who managed delivery teams at Fujitsu, Ericsson and Payair before doing it here.
Supporting functions
IT, HR, health & safety, procurement, accounting, taxes, legal and compliance — so a five-person engineering team does not need its own back office.
Leadership
Budgets, hiring plans and day-to-day management, plus knowledge transfer between your HQ and the Polish team — the same work we have run between Poland and Sweden since 2019.
Why BranchWise?
Talent network
and people who know the local IT market from the inside.
Local Expertise
we know Polish business rules, labour law and how things actually get done here.
No fixed packages
We shape the setup around what you need: a two-person start, a full team with an office, or something in between.
Cost-efficient
a technical site in Poland costs less than growing the same team at home.
